Harry Ascherl signs for the Cornish Pirates

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce the signing of Harry Ascherl from Exeter Chiefs ahead of the 26/27 season.

Centre Ascherl, who has appeared three times for the Pirates at the end of this season, has top level experience in PREM Rugby, with Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs two notable former clubs.

Joint Head Coach, Gavin Cattle, spoke of the quality Ascherl will bring to the squad.

“Within his short spell with us – Harry has integrated seamlessly. He has been in and around premiership environments so he knows what it takes. He is a smart operator, physical and hungry to play. I believe his best rugby is ahead of him and we are looking forward to working with him.”

Harry spoke of how quickly the Pirates has felt like home. “I’m really happy to sign down here. Loved the last month being here and really excited to see what we can do as a team next year.”
