Angus Mawson extends his stay with the Pirates

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that Full Back Angus Mawson has signed a new deal with the club to remain in Cornwall ahead of the 26/27 season.

The Australian, who can also play at Fly Half, joined the club midway through the season and has made 11 appearances scoring two tries and kicking one conversion to date.

Joint Head Coach, Gavin Cattle, was delighted to keep Mawson.

“Angus is hungry to develop. He came here off his own back without a contract, which takes courage and belief. He has embraced playing at 15 and is a clever ball playing 10 with excellent distribution skills. We look forward to watching him develop and take his game to the next level.”

Angus added “I’m very grateful to re-sign with the Pirates, I’ve loved my time here so far and am extremely excited to see what the future holds.”
