It has been confirmed that a ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ for Brian ‘Stack’ Stevens is to be held at:
Brian ‘Stack’ Stevens
Brian first played for the Pirates ‘Mounts Bay Colts’ team in 1956, whilst his 1st XV debut for Penzance & Newlyn RFC was against RAF Coastal Command in November, 1958.
Besides playing over 500 games for the Pirates, Brian made 83 appearances for Cornwall, won 25 caps for England, and was a British Lion in 1971. He was also at one time an England selector.
Condolences have been expressed to Stack’s wife Jane, sons Sam and John, family members and close friends.
Those attending the Service of Thanksgiving are afterwards invited to the Pirates ‘Westholme’ clubhouse.
