£863 raised for Royal British Legion

Supporters of the Cornish Pirates form a generous group of people, as was once again the case when a match day collection was held at the recent home game versus London Scottish in support of the Royal British Legion.

The excellent sum of £865 was raised at the Mennaye Field for the Penzance Branch of the RBL, with special thanks also to collectors Brian and Mary Venn, Philip Le Saux, and Pirates associated former military personnel Jan Rendall, Sam Hardaker, Paul Kempson and Danny Daniell.

Andy Eke, Chairman of Royal British Legion (Cornwall), commented:

“The support of the Cornish Pirates and their generous supporters is always greatly appreciated, as it has been again this year. To collect £865 is a magnificent response by the local rugby community.”
