Performance Analyst Sam arrived at the Cornish Pirates ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Born in Naas, which is the county town of County Kildare in Ireland, he attended Newbridge College Secondary School and then the University of Limerick for a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Sciences.

A wing/fullback, Sam played schoolboy rugby with Newbridge College and won a Leinster Junior League and Leinster Senior Cup. He played in the All-Ireland League Division 1B for four years with his local Naas RFC club, plus he trained in the Munster Sub-Academy in 2023/24 and at the end of the season played for the Munster Development Squad against the Spanish under 20s.

Sam’s hobbies include watching all live sports, whilst in his own words in spare time he also enjoys playing some very below average golf!
