Yorkshire-born Chester is dual registered with the Cornish Pirates from Exeter Chiefs.

Educated at King James School in Knaresborough, and at Exeter University from where he has now graduated, Chester’s previous clubs include Wetherby RUFC, Yorkshire Academy, and Exeter University RFC, who he captained.

Working his way up through the age grades at Wetherby, it was from there that he was recognised by the Yorkshire Academy, which is a partnership between the RFU, Premiership Rugby Limited and the Yorkshire RFU. It was set up to develop talented players aged 14-18 within Yorkshire and support them with a pathway to the Premiership post the Academy.

Besides rugby, Chester used to play football and cricket to county level, and he has always appreciated the support given him by his dad. As for hobbies. He loves to get out and play golf as much as he can.
