As previously announced, the Cornish Pirates play Exeter Chiefs away on Saturday for what should prove to be an interesting and exciting pre-season ‘friendly’ that kicks off at 4pm.

The Chiefs have named two strong squads to play in the afternoon, with the first to face London Scottish at 2pm.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach Gavin Cattle has commented:

“The contest will naturally be a big step up from our friendly versus Redruth and it will provide a good measuring stick for us.

“When you look at the physicality that Exeter will bring, along also with the overall quality they possess, it should provide a worthy benchmark to see what we need to work on and what is going well for us. We have seen that previously when playing the Chiefs similarly in the past and it will no doubt be the same again this year.”
