On Saturday 15th December four volunteers, Rebecca Watson, Rachel Trembath, Mark Roberts and Alan Milliner will be driving to every affiliated rugby club with facilities to the Cornwall RFU.
The drive is to commence at 6am from St. Just RFC and will then visit all 30 clubs before finishing at the Mennaye Field, Penzance, where the Cornish Pirates will be playing London Irish in the new Championship Cup competition (ko 2pm).
Accompanying the drivers during the charity drive will be ‘Wenzil’, the Wooden Spoon bear. Photos of him are to be taken at each Club – to evidence attendance! – and a final one will, of course, be taken with the Cornish Pirates famous mascot, Captain Benbow.
Please sponsor or donate to the volunteers on the drive or donate to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/coopst.just
All monies raised will support local vulnerable children projects in Cornwall, with a big thank-you expressed to the Co-op who have already raised £5,468-53.
A match day collection will also take place at the Mennaye Field on the 15th December. For more information, including purchasing of tickets at a discounted price, please visit www.cornish-pirates.com
