Several past Pirates players and supporters are remembered, including Johnny Thomas, as per below.
Johnny Thomas
1932 – 2020
Penzance & Newlyn RFC
Johnny Thomas, Pirates captain and fly half for Cornwall, Bath, Wasps, Rosslyn Park and Kitwe Pirates, Zambia, taught at Lescudjack School, coached Pirates Colts and wrote for match programmes. Greatly missed by the game, his wife Judith, daughter Louise, son Treeve and family.
But for the unfortunate cancellation of last Sunday’s England versus Barbarians game, the ‘Wall of Remembrance’ would also have been displayed on the big screens at Twickenham.
