Following information received from Penzance councillor Tim Dwelly, the Cornish Pirates have confirmed that in future they will not play any music associated with Cornish singer-songwriter and musician Graham Hart.
Councillor Dwelly, who is an administrator on the Facebook page Cornwall Anti-Semitism Watch, contacted the Pirates in relation to serious concerns that he had reference a song sung by Mr. Hart and which is published on YouTube.
Speaking on behalf of the Cornish Pirates, Chairman Paul Durkin said:
We were immediately concerned and felt an obvious and proper need to positively react when contacted by Tim Dwelly.
Despite the particular song being one that we have never played, in the circumstances it is felt proper to in future not play any of Mr. Hart’s songs.
