‘Pirate’ Sons Making Their Mark

The sons of two former Pirates, namely Mark Murley and Steve Berryman, are making their mark in the rugby world.

Cadan Murley and Elliot Berryman recently faced each other playing at Bath in the Premiership Rugby Shield competition. Cadan was playing for Harlequins A and Elliot for Bath United. The game at the ‘Rec’ was a very tight one, with the lead switching sides on several occasions before the ‘Quins’ emerged 31-22 winners.

Now in his second year at the successful Harlequins Academy, Cadan has made a couple of appearances for the first team in the LV Cup and his hope is to this season earn selection for England U20s. As for Elliot, who is studying Sports Performance at Bath University, he also plays for Bath University in the BUCS Super League.
