A number of Pirates’ Ladies and Girls have enjoyed success in recent seasons, representing Cornwall at senior level and for the under 15s and under 18s.
There is no doubt that Ladies and Girls rugby is on the up, with success for the English Roses and events such as the Women’s Rugby World Cup helping to increase the profile. Rugby is also very much seen as a sport that can provide a pivotal role to boost lives, through appreciating rugby’s values of teamwork and respect, besides being a way of keeping physically fit.
The Pirates Ladies and Girls train at the Mennaye Nurseries pitch each Wednesday evening from 6 – 7.30pm. Ages start from School Year 7 up to ladies of all ages and ability, and everyone is made welcome.

During this Coronavirus ‘Lockdown’ period various personnel have continued to work hard with our ladies in particular deserving high praise
