In the United Kingdom and after having watched the All Blacks narrowly beat England at Twickenham last Saturday, Kiwis Blair Foote and Mike Collins then travelled to Cornwall with Cornish Pirates director Colin Groves.
The pair were present at Sunday’s Cornish Pirates versus Bedford Blues match played at the Mennaye Field, and during their time in Cornwall have also spent time meeting personnel at the Pirates, learning about the club’s history and discussing all aspects ranging from coaching to commercial to sponsorship’s and marketing etc…
Mike Collins is CEO for the Chiefs Super Rugby team and is also an ex-captain of Waikato and a former Chiefs and London Irish player. As for Blair, he is the present CEO for Waikato who has represented the New Zealand 7s team and has played for Waikato and Exeter Chiefs.
Blair and Mike have really enjoyed their visit and both commented about level of rugby knowledge and passion for rugby in one of the world’s true heartlands!
