Well done to Cornish Pirates’ sponsor Davidstow Cheddar for donating some of their cheese to the NHS in Cornwall.
Following the launch before Christmas of their new direct to consumer website, with a new range of exclusive lines, Davidstow have donated the remainder of the first production run, over 1000 units, to the hard- working NHS staff at hospitals in Cornwall. This includes the fabulous new 40 & 60-month-old hand-wrapped products.
Aware that the Cornish Pirates likely had good medical contacts at Treliske, Davidstow’s Brand Controller, Jonathan Westlake, reached out to the team which subsequently led to prompt contact and delivery of the cheese this week to the following hospitals: Royal Cornwall, St Michael’s in Hayle and West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance.
Speaking on behalf of the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske, Anna Dalziel, Head of Health & Well-being, said:
This was such a kind offer to think of our NHS staff in Cornwall at this difficult time. It is really appreciated, and our sincere thanks go to Davidstow Cheddar and also the Cornish Pirates for their support .
