As the 2018-19 academic year draws to a close, it one during which the Cornish Pirates have visited over 65 Primary Schools throughout Cornwall to deliver their six week Community programmes, a huge thank-you is expressed to all the committed teachers and enthusiastic pupils who have been involved.
There are just two highly anticipated festivals to conclude, the penultimate one being held at Callywith College with children from St Petroc’s C of E School, St Catherine’s C of E School, Altarnun Primary School, Tregadillett Primary School, Coads Green Primary School, Lanivet Community Primary School, Boscastle Community Primary School, Port Isaac Community Primary School, Beacon ACE Academy, St Mabyn C of E School, St Tudy C of E School, Lewannick Community Primary School and Otterham Community Primary School.
The final festival, involving children from Gulval School, Marazion School, Pensans Primary School, Newlyn School, Mousehole Primary School, St Mary’s C of E School and St Mary’s Catholic School, will be held at Mounts Bay Academy.
On the horizon, the Cornish Pirates have some very exciting longer-term programmes planned, with various initiatives also in the pipeline to begin post the summer holidays.
