The Cornish Pirates have teamed up with the Help for Heroes (H4H) Endeavour Wheelchair Rugby team.
Joining the H4H team and other new recruits at Carn Brea Leisure Centre were Cornish Pirates player Harry Davey and Community Manager Sam Teasdale.
After the initial rules were explained and we had a few ‘gentle’ practices the real games began. It was great fun and inevitably not long before the competitive nature to take over!
H4H Endeavour Wheelchair Rugby team is made up of ex-servicemen and women who live either in Cornwall or across the Tamar in Plymouth. Their Chairman, Gordon Clark, said:
Our ultimate goal is to set up a team in the region for all to play, no matter what level of disabilities they have.
In conclusion, the Cornish Pirates are excited to further explore this partnership in the New Year – so watch this space!
