The plotted course for Captain Benbow last Thursday took him to Land’s End to once again happily participate at the holiday attraction’s latest ‘Pirate Day’ of the summer.
It was a case of ‘Ahoy me hearties!’ as visitors were able to enjoy a fun-filled day. Marketing Assistant David Hocking commented:
Huge thanks are yet again expressed to the Cornish Pirates, as it was great to have such a fun figure as Captain Benbow around the site. The children loved it – they always do!
The next Pirate Day at Land’s End is scheduled for Thursday 23rd August, whilst for Captain Benbow his next appearance will of course be at the Mennaye Field on Friday 17th August when the Cornish Pirates play Exeter Chiefs.

A match day collection held at the Mennaye Field has raised just over £300 in support of Whale & Dolphin Conservation, which is the leading charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins.
