The Championship Clubs Committee met today to hear an update from their Executive on progress made in discussions about the future of Tier 2 of English rugby.

It was with great sadness to hear that Margaret Lyon passed away in the early hours of Thursday, aged 84, having lost her brave battle with cancer.
The Cornish Pirates are pleased to announce that Hallam Chapman has been signed on loan from Exeter Chiefs to the end of the season.
The Cornish Pirates can officially confirm today that coach Louie Tonkin will be leaving the club at the end of this season, having accepted a coaching role with Ealing Trailfinders.
The Cornish Pirates can confirm that Rebecca Thomas will step down from her role as CEO/Finance Director at the end of this season but will remain on the Board as Director in an advisory capacity going forward.
As part of the Ladies Day celebrations on Sunday the team will be wearing the limited edition match shirts as modelled here by John Stevens and Alex Schwarz.
This Sunday will see the Cornish Pirates welcome Ampthill to the Mennaye Field for what, ahead of the weekend, is a scheduled 2nd versus 7th contest in the Championship (ko 2.30pm).
