Head Physiotherapist

Paul from Cork - a highly experienced sports Physiotherapist - joined us from Halifax RLFC where he was head of the medical department during the 2015/16 season.

He has had previous experience working as a Physiotherapist in both Gaelic football and hurling in Ireland and rugby league with Huddersfield Giants.

Gareth O’NeillGareth O’Neill
Physiotherapist

Gareth is dual skilled being a Strength & Conditioning Coach-turned-Physio,

Since graduating from Northumbria University, the 31-year-old has worked in various sports science support/multi-sport strength & conditioning roles in four different countries before returning to Belfast to study Physiotherapy at the University of Ulster.

Doctor Tim BakerDoctor Tim Baker

Tim has been involved with the Pirates since 2009 and has recently gained a postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine through Bath University.

He qualified in Medicine at Bristol University in 1985, and after a variety of hospital jobs in Cornwall and Australia, he became a GP partner in Pool in 1994 and a GP trainer in 1999.

Nigel is a specialist in Sports and Exercise Medicine and has covered sporting events including some of the 2012 Olympics test events, European beach volleyball championships and SW BMX regional championship.

He graduated from Leicester Medicine School in 1990 and qualified as a GP in 1994
