Mike Pope, Tom Duncan, and Rob Elloway were at Humphry Davy School last Friday to start the school’s 5K ‘Race for Life’.
It was the girls who took part in the important event, and speaking on behalf of Humphry Davy School, PE Teacher Sarah Stovell said: “The Race for Life event was not only a way to have fun and keep fit but to also support Cancer Research UK’s vital life-saving work.
“It was once again great to have support from the Cornish Pirates, who also cheered on the girls and offered them words of encouragement!”
Race for Life Schools is now in its fifth year and 2016 is set to be bigger and better than ever. Cancer Research UK hopes around 2100 schools across the UK will hold their own event and raise over £1 million to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
