Six More Gifted Young Players have signed on for the Cornish Pirates as part of the new Player Development Foundation (PDF).
The Player Development Foundation (PDF) has been established to ensure that the potential of promising young Cornish players is fully developed here in Cornwall, rather than across the Tamar.
In line with this aim, three more exciting young Cornish players: Tyler Gendall, Jay Tyack and Locryn Williams have joined Ben Trevaskis and Alex Ducker in the group.
Continuing the productive relationship with the Guernsey Sports Commission, back-rower George Collenette from Guernsey follows in the footsteps of wing Luke Jones who joined us last season. Whilst from Devon, Lock/back-rower Marcus Garratt and back-rower Todd Lowry make the move west across the Tamar.
Speaking about these latest additions, Director of Rugby Ian Davies, said: “These young lads are obviously highly talented and want to have a future in professional rugby.”
“We are giving them a chance to experience a professional environment and I have no doubt they will add to the quality of the squad we have recruited for this season.”

In further good news for the squad, Cornish back-rower Jake Parker, has re-signed this week.
And there’s even more good news to come on Friday, when we hope to announce the names of a group of players who will be joining us under the fruitful dual-registration agreement with Exeter Chiefs.
