Fliss Middleton, Head Physiotherapist at the Cornish Pirates, has been appointed to the Physio team for the Championship XV side to face Canada in November.
The Championship XV concept has been reignited following its 2012 success against the Maori All Blacks. The best XV from across the league will face Canada at Sixways Stadium in a showpiece game highlighting the talent on offer in the second tier, while providing a unique international experience for players and spectators alike.
In 2012, Ian Davies had the honour of coaching the side along with Mike Rayer from Bedford and Diccon Edwards from Leeds, whilst scrum-half Gavin Cattle, flanker Phil Burgess, and prop Alan Paver were chosen for the squad. Match Report
For this match, Fliss will join coaches Martin Haag of Nottingham and Kevin Maggs of Moseley.
Commenting on her appointment, Fliss said: “The Championship XV concept is to be applauded and I feel honoured to be involved and to represent the Cornish Pirates.
