Matt Presents Mounts Bay Academy Sports Awards

Cornish Pirates and Canada rugby international Matt Evans was on the Podium at Mounts Bay Academy last Thursday to present the Annual Sports Awards.

Joining Matt on the Podium was Newlyn-born Jason Blunt, formerly a professional footballer with Leeds United and now Academy Manager for Mousehole AFC’s new Elite Youth Player Development Programme.

Mounts Bay Academy is rightly proud of its development of sporting talent, with Jack Nowell, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Max Bodilly, Tom Hendrickson, Kyle Moyle and Tyler Gendall just some of the successful sportsmen to have been nurtured by the school.

Unsung Hero Award: Dylan Jones
Sports Leader: Tom Hands

Individual Year 7: Oscar Halls and Tia Smart
Individual Year 8: Jacob Pengelly and Ellie Dash
Individual Year 9: Woody New and Robyn Coatsworth
Individual Year 10: Caner Bindiran and Esme Adams
