Following today’s announcement of the Breakthrough Deal to share the Stadium for Cornwall, the Cornish Pirates would like to thank everyone for their hard work in achieving this.
‘Everyone has worked so hard to achieve this and help deliver the Stadium for Cornwall. The Head of Terms signed by the developers, Cornish Pirates, Truro City Football Club, and Truro and Penwith College means one stadium for all is no longer a dream.’
Dicky Evans, who has been in Cornwall recently to help broker the deal, said: “Arriving at this point has been hard work for everyone concerned but at last we can now see a Stadium for Cornwall happening.
This is a massive boost for the Pirates and our long term plan to bring Premiership Rugby to Cornwall.”
“Able to announce such news at this time is truly exciting, so let us all come together and celebrate at our final game of the season on Saturday, at home to Bedford Blues.
The project team will then be over again next month to meet the architects to progress an adventure that will benefit ‘One & All’ in Cornwall.”
