The on-going development of the squad has received a further boost today with news that 3 more key members - the Andrews brothers & Will Cargill - have signed aboard for a further 2 years.
Cornish-born props Jack & Paul Andrew have amassed over 200 games between them. Jack, aged 26, has made 87 appearances for the Pirates since joining in 2013, and Paul 135. 28-year-old Paul, who first played for the Pirates in 2008, has also spent a season with Worcester Warriors in 2013/14.
Fly-half Will joined us in 2015 and has made 38 appearances accumulating a total of 157 points in the process, another popular member of the squad, he has sharpened his skill set during his time here, kicks well and has shown that he can control a game at Championship level.
This is excellent news, especially for coaches Gavin Cattle and Alan Paver and provides yet further evidence of the continuity and stability that is now evident at the Cornish Pirates
Gav & Paves who consistently praise the hard work and commitment of this squad of players said of these further signings: “This is particularly good news for us as it will help us in our aim to yet further develop the skills and abilities of this tight knit group of players”
“We feel that real progress has been made this season and we are both keen to maintain this evolution on into the next”
