ISince joining the Pirates in 2013, Mike has proven a very sharp performer, whether playing at scrum-half or on the wing.

Bournemouth-born Mike began his rugby career playing for Swanage and Wareham RFC's mini-rugby section. At Colts level he played for Bournemouth and also went on to play for the 1st XV where he became the club's all-time points scorer in a single season.
He also scored a try at Twickenham in Dorset & Wilts’ 2010 County Championship Shield victory over Leicestershire, in a team also featuring Gloucester flyer Jonny May.
Speaking to Nick Verdier in The Rugby Paper, he said: “I played for Dorset and Wilts at U18 level and captained the U20 side, and making it to Twickenham with the senior side in 2010 was special,”
“That was definitely one of my favourite experiences, everyone wants to play at Twickenham and I was no different, and scoring a try was one of my personal goals.”
Away from rugby Mike enjoys surfing, so his move to the Cornish Pirates has provided him with another positive as he looks to make his rugby mark in the far south-west.
