Brett is sponsored by Chris Nicholls Motors
Brett signed a two year contract with the Pirates in April 2015, a move that saw him cross the River Tamar from Plymouth Albion where he had been a regular performer.
Capped 11 times for Canada, Brett's arrival saw him meet up with Aaron Carpenter and Matt Evans to form a trio of 'Canucks' who will be based at the Mennaye Field.
Making his debut for the Pirates immediately after the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Brett became an ever-present in the side before his season came to a halt when suffering a knee injury.
He had featured in 20 games, so will be keen to return to action and make an impact again in 2016/17.
