Yorkshire Carnegie v Cornish Pirates

Saturday 18th February 2017
Greene King IPA Championship Rd 16
Headingley Carnegie Stadium
Kick Off 3pm

The boys have set off on the long road trip to Leeds this morning and face a tough assignment at Headingley Stadium tomorrow against high flying Yorkshire Carnegie.

Carnegie have won 12 out of 13 games so far in the Greene King IPA Championship and are second in the table, however the Pirates, who go into this in 5th place and on the back of 5 straight wins in all competitions, are keen to make it to 4th and grab a slot in the end of season play-offs.

“They are a strong side,” said coach Alan Paver “with good players who are well coached. It’s going to be another arm wrestle, with our guys knowing that another tough challenge lies ahead.

“Having said that, every team in this league can be vulnerable, so our aim will be to go up there and see what they’ve got and in no way make it easy for them.”
