Cornish Pirates at Future Careers Event

Community Engagement Manager Sam Teasdale and flanker Matt Bolwell were on hand to provide inspiration & advice at yesterday’s Future Careers Event held at Richard Lander school, Truro.

The event was held to increase awareness of the wide variety of opportunities available after leaving school and over 500 pupils were expected to have attended.

The Cornish Pirates were there to offer advice about a career in sport, an insight into professional sport and how to enhance their CVs.

Matt’s presence was particularly valuable as he was able to share his experiences as a professional rugby player and to provide inspiration and help.

This was further enhanced by an interactive station for the students to engage within a live rugby session.
