Pirates U8s Match Day Experience

By Phil Westren

When the Pirates under 8s formed the Guard of Honour and provided a half-time exhibition of mini-rugby at the Cornish Pirates versus London Irish game on Saturday, they all buzzing with excitement.

Speaking on behalf of their team, Pirates under  8s coach Euan McNeill said:

“I would just like to say how much our boys enjoyed the whole experience, especially at such a high profile match. They were absolutely buzzing, all through the afternoon.

“Community Engagement Manager Sam Teasdale’s help in marshalling them on the day was greatly appreciated, as was the response from the team and the backroom staff for making¬† it all so enjoyable and memorable.”

Euan further commented:

“The two mascots, Louie and James, will remember their experience for a very long time, and having the Falmouth Marine Band join them added real atmosphere. They were over the moon!”
